


Himani Shivpuri As Rifat bi in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai From helping them with their makeup to being a pillar of support for Anjali, Rifat bi is one character we look up to, even today. She was not a warden but a mother to all the girls under her care. Her character of Rifat bi in the film broke all misconceptions about wardens being strict. Sweet, supportive and Aman’s favourite (He loved her more than Anjali), she has an important role in the film that weaves the story properly. Sharma is a perfect portrayal of a doting mother. In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Reema Lagoo plays a single mother, who always wanted good for her daughter, Reema Lagoo’s character as Mrs. “Tussi jaa rhe ho, Tussi na jao’’, this dialogue is still etched in our heart & it is hard to forget because it struck the right chord with us. He made you smile & made you cry with his adorable tactics. ‘Silence speaks louder than words’ and Parzan as Silent sardaji stuck true to this proverb in the film. Isn’t she uber cool? How can we forget her constant sweet banter with Almeida in the summer camp that makes out laugh throughout? She loves Anjali very much and even accompanies her for her summer camp. Khanna is a religious and supportive grandmother to Anjali in the film. One of the coolest grandmother on-screen that Kuch Kuch Hota Hai gave us. Khanna) in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is unmissable & keeps you laughing throughout. His constant sweet banter with Farida Jalal’s character (Mrs. Half Indian and Half American, Johnny Lever’s character as Col. Malhotra shows his different side too that moved us. Briganza is one of the cynosures of the film. Always trying his best to maintain discipline in the college, his camaraderie with his students and his romance with Mrs. Malhotra or Taklu (as Rahul fondly calls him in the film) is the principal of the renowned St. Hahaha! This is one character in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is that has not only made us laugh but also made us emotional. Malhotra (Anupam Kher) in the film is aww-dorable! Be it teaching her students about love in her English class or showing off her sexy moves in the song “ Koi Mil Gaya”, Archana Puran Singh as Ms. Briganza is our all-time favourite English teacher from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
